A new highlight of the Vivaldi Edition: the opera "Dorilla in Tempe". The Vivaldi Edition, begun in the early 2000s, returns: after a two-year hiatus, "Dorilla in Tempe" is the 55th recording in the series, bringing to light the complete works of Antonio Vivaldi stored in the National Library in Turin. The opera is set in the ancient royal court of Tempe, where the princess Dorilla, in love with a shepherd and almost doomed to death by the dragon Python, is saved by the god Apollo. "Dorilla in Tempe" was recorded by I Barocchisti under the direction of Diego Fasolis and with an impressive cast of solo parts, and continues the series of extraordinary recordings such as the operas "Orlando furioso" or "Farnace". The 108-page supplement - also in German - contains the complete libretto, portraits of the artists, and a music-historical location of the work.
