Steve McCabe has been writing acoustic music for almost 10 years in his home town Nottingham. In 2011 he decided to put together his best tracks to record a full album. The main guitar and vocals were all recorded simultaneously to keep a live feel to the tracks with backing vocals and extra instrumentation added after. His influences include songwriters like Nick Drake and John Martyn and guitarists such as John Mcloughlin and the late Paco De Lucia. He is currently working on new material and booking gigs in order to promote the album. released 10 March 2014 . Resonating Wood Recordings was established to mainly promote alternative acoustic-based music but also releases indie / progressive music. This label is a medium through which musicians can channel their creativity and promote their work to a wider audience. As musicians ourselves, we appreciate how difficult it is to do that. Our aims are to overcome these difficulties and promote good music that we believe in. We can do so by building up a network of musicians who can work together for the common goal of promoting their music. Resonating Wood Recordings is the sister label of Preserved Sound, an ambient / modern classic label.
