"Mescalero" is the 14th studio album from the Texas rockers from Houston and their last from the contract with RCA Records. On Mescalero, ZZ Top maintained their blues-rock foundation, but also explored genres like country and Tejano. The album centers on a variety of Tejano instruments such as accordion, pedal steel guitar and harmonica.
