"Acker Bilk was known as the melon-bearing titanium of the traditional jazz, which gives its clarinet sentimental sounds and warm tones".
Thus began the obituary of the Daily Telegraph when Mr. Acker Bilk was 85 years old in November 2014 deceased. His biggest hit was without a doubt 'Stranger On The Shore', but it can't be reduced to that alone.
