"Ranjha" is the new album and collaboration between award-winning composer and Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood, acclaimed composer and musician Shye Ben Tzur and Indian ensemble The Rajasthan Express. The album is the follow-up to their acclaimed debut "Junun", which has just celebrated its tenth anniversary. While "Junun" was recorded in a makeshift studio in the 15th century Mehrangarh Fort in Rajasthan, India, "Ranjha" was recorded in a more intimate setting - Jonny Greenwood's studio in Oxford, England. To mark the 10th anniversary of "Junun", which was critically acclaimed - including Album of the Year by the Sunday Times, which described it as "one of the most inspired releases of the year" and "fascinating, multi-layered and well worth a listen" - BMG released a special edition of the original album. The making of "Junun" was documented by acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson and offers an intimate insight into the creative process and the vibrant day-to-day life during the album's production. The album features eleven brand new tracks that combine the band's signature cross-cultural sound with a modern twist.
