Under King Christian IV of Denmark (1577-1648), the country experienced not only the height of its political power, but also a cultural flowering that made the Danish court a center of attraction for musicians and composers from all over Europe. Les Witches introduce us to the hitherto little-known music of the Danish court. The focus of the recording is the magnificent Compenius organ from 1610, which is one of the most beautiful instruments of the 17th century.
