"Hans Zimmer LIVE" gathers more than two hours of new music by the Frankfurt-born star composer! For the album, Hans Zimmer has arranged new "suites" based on some of the best-known themes and melodies from his Oscar®-winning film scores, including "Dune" and "The Lion King," as well as for modern film classics such as "The Dark Knight," "X Men: Dark Phoenix," "Dunkirk," "Gladiator," "Inception," "Interstellar," "Last Samurai," "Man of Steel," James Bond: No Time to Die," "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Wonder Woman 1984." Together with his 20-piece band "The Disruptive Collective," featuring a number of the composer's longtime musical partners, as well as the Odessa Opera Orchestra and Choir, Hans Zimmer has created an epic musical spectacle that fuses atmospheric classical arrangements and electronic elements with the powerful sound of a rock band. "I just wanted to produce a great album," says Zimmer, who recorded "Hans Zimmer LIVE" much like a studio production on ten nights of his eponymous tour in the spring of 2022 and spent several weeks mixing the album with producer Stephen Lipson. "I wanted to allow the music to breathe in its own context in a new way, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the amazing team that supported me on this adventure." "The Disruptive Collective" brings together musicians who have long collaborated with Hans Zimmer, such as singers* and composers Lisa Gerrard ('Gladiator'), Lebo M. ('The Lion King') and Loire Cutler ('X Men: Dark Phoenix'), cellist Tina Guo ('Wonder Woman 1984') and Nick Glennie-Smith (musical director of the band).
