A few months before Jim Morrison's death in Paris saw the release of L. A. Woman, the Doors' most blues-influenced album. To the the most successful single release was Love Her Madly, written by guitarist Robbie Krieger, whose His girlfriend regularly threatened to leave him. The Rolling Stone judged the song to consist of the best Chuck Berry reefs since the Stones. The same magazine also calls L.A. Woman the best Doors- Album, including the debut. Remastering the SACD of the original analog tapes is by Doug Sax, he was accompanied by Bruce Botnick, the Producers and sound engineers of the Doors. The original masters were produced on a tape machine with Tube input stage and also for the playback of the new tapes to be mastered a machine with a tube output stage.
