Released as Introducing... The Beatles on January 10, 1964 by Vee-Jay Records, the album sold more than a million copies in the USA. After Capitol Records took over the rights, the new label released the album under the title "The Early Beatles" with 11 songs. In contrast to the British album Please Please Me, which contained 14 tracks, the three songs I Saw Her Standing There, Misery and There's a Place were missing. Using the original mono master, new lacquers were cut completely analog by Kevin Reeves at East Iris Studios in Nashville. By constantly referencing the original first pressing, the album stays true to the original release while allowing more musical information to be heard than was previously possible. Featuring original artwork and a new four-page insert with an essay by American Beatles historian Bruce Spizer.
