The second album by Camille Thomas, the first cellist signed exclusively by Deutsche Grammophon in years. The young Frenchwoman explores the power of confidence - alongside a personal selection of enchanting aria transcriptions by Gluck, Dvorák, Verdi, Bellini, Ravel, Wagner and others is the world premiere of the Concerto for Cello and Orchestra composed for Camille Thomas by Fazil Say. It will be accompanied by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra under Stéphane Denève and Mathieu Herzog. "Beauty will save the world," wrote Dostoevsky - Camille Thomas confirms that with this recording. That's what Thomas' new album is all about.
