"Fragments" enters its second round. This time, the focus is on the French composer Lili Boulanger. The multi-instrumentalist, who was awarded the Prix de Rome, wrote music that oscillated between the traditional and the avant-garde. "Lili Boulanger was one of the greatest musical talents of her time. [...] Her immense talent enabled her to fight for a place for herself with courage and authority in a sphere that was still very male at the time," writes renowned Boulanger expert Alexandra Laederich from the Centre international Nadia et Lili Boulanger, who also penned the booklet text for the album. 13 contemporary musicians and artist duos have reworked Lili's works, including Niklas Paschburg, Rodriguez Jr, Joplyn and Anja Schneider. The result is a highly modern and multi-faceted album, which will be released as a CD and high-quality 180 g vinyl pressing.
