Jazz pianist Jacques Loussier who is renowned for his interpretations of the classical repertoire covers two very different aspects of impressionism on this reissue. As well as his interpretation of Ravel's Bolero there are seven short original compositions that were inspired by Claude Monet's paintings of waterlilies. Loussier's resourceful ability to dance between the borders of jazz and classical music gives this recording an enduring appeal.
