As one of the world's best-selling music artists, Def Leppard have sold more than 100 million records worldwide and released two RIAA diamond-certified albums, "Pyromania" and "Hysteria".
They are one of only five rock bands with two original studio albums that have sold more than 10 million copies in the USA. The band was voted #31 on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" and #70 on the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time".
The album "Pyromania", released in 1983, made the band a rock legend; it was the first with guitarist Phil Collen, who had replaced Pete Willis. It contains the worldwide hits "Photograph" and "Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)", which became big singles worldwide. The album also reached number 2 in the US charts and was certified platinum worldwide.
This deluxe edition was created in collaboration with vocalist Joe Elliott, who served as executive producer. The mastering was done by the band's longtime engineers Ronan McHugh and Andy Pearce.
This deluxe set contains 4 CDs consisting of the original album, a full disk of unheard demos that Joe Elliott discovered during lockdown and an unreleased song "No You Can't Do That" as well as two live shows from that time.
The Blu Ray includes an Atmos mix of the album (supervised by Giles Martin) as well as 5.1 / stereo and instrumental mixes plus the promo videos from the time and a debut Blu Ray for a live show from the Westfalen Halle in Germany (Dortmund).
The book includes a history of the album written by Mojo and Classic Rock author Paul Elliott (no relation), who conducted new interviews with band members, as well as rare and unseen photos by renowned photographer Ross Halfin.Prihlásenie
