Like many of us, Kent has spent the last year online, looking for ways to stay in touch with the outside world. In an effort not to lose touch, she came up with the idea of a collection of songs that expresses our collective desire to roam the world once again through the medium of music. "Songs From Other Places" is accompanied by Art Hirahara on piano and features interpretations of songs by Stevie Nicks (Landslide), Paul Simon (American Tune), Lennon & McCartney (Blackbird), Gershwin, Weil, Jobim, as well as two new songs co-written with Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro.
