She is called the "grande dame de la chanson" and is considered the muse of the French existentialists around Sartre. No wonder that she too - like many other musicians, actors, artists, painters, writers and sportsmen - was portrayed in Studio Harcourt Paris. Founded by Cosette Harcourt with the brothers Lacroix and Robert Ricci in 1934, Harcourt, whose hallmarks are photographs originating in the aesthetics of black and white cinema and combining mystery with legend, quickly became a cultural hotspot.
