If you've heard solo recordings by any of these three fantastic singers, you'll know that they are all enormously talented in their different ways, but it won't prepare you for this album. Claire Martin is my favorite jazz lady. Barb Jungr is an outstanding cabaret singer who has re-interpreted classic songs recorded by Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley and others. Mari Wilson is the Neasden queen of soul, who had a British top ten hit in the early eighties with Just what I always wanted, together with several lesser hits including a cover of Cry me a river, the Julie London classic. Here, the three ladies join forces for a fun (and I do mean fun) album of cover versions, most of the songs being from the sixties.
