There are not many semi-classical albums that can be heard at full volume on a road trip. But "Liquid Days" is one of them. The songs were written by Paul Simon, Suzanne Vega, David Byrne and Laurie Andersen and complemented with the pulsating, emotional orchestrations of Philip Glass. The singers are an equally dynamic mix, with Linda Ronstadt and The Roches as the most unexpected contributors. The three operas from Glass' "Trilogy" are something special. The selection itself, the tempo of the sequencing and absolute top performances create an outstanding album.
