The MAESTRO series presents masterful recordings from the superbly assorted archives of the Warner Classics labels Teldec and Erato. With the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, French organist Marie-Claire Alain recorded the so-called 'Organ Symphony' No. 3 by Camille Saint-Saens. Saint-Saens wrote his second symphony while employed as organist at Saint-Severin in Paris, seven years after meeting Franz Liszt in 1852.
