Two years after their acclaimed self-titled debut album, Cigarettes After Sex is dropping a new long player in 2019. "Cry" is the name of the US band's second record. They recorded nine songs for it, a beautiful melange of ambient and dream-pop. For the recording Greg Gonzalez (vocals), Jacob Tomsky (drums), Randy Miller (bass) and Phillip Tubbs (keyboards) went to Mallorca this time. Cigarettes After Sex provided a first taste of their new album with the single "Heavenly", which lives up to its name: dreamy, delicate vocals, restrained drums, atmospheric guitar sounds and a certain retro vibe - this is how it could sound in heaven.
