Dutchman Erik Bosgraaf ("A bewitching recorder player", The Guardian) is currently one of the best and most versatile recorder players in the world. He is characterized by a remarkable range: In Dallas this year, he will play Vivaldi's recorder concertos under the direction of Jaap van Zweden, last year he took part in a dance production by DJ DNA (ex-Urban Dance Squad) and played various world premieres of contemporary works. With the Dutch Music Prize (Nederlandse Muziekprijs), he received the highest state award of his profession in his home country.
Bosgraaf's compatriot, saxophonist Yuri Honing ("One of the most creative and fearless saxophonists of our time", The Times), defines jazz not as a style, but as a real language with infinite possibilities. His musical horizons range from projects with improvisation artist Misha Mengelberg to performances with Lebanese singer Rima Khcheich and collaborations with jazz greats such as Pat Metheny and Charlie Haden.
On "Hotel Terminus", Bosgraaf and Honing make music together for the first time in a six-piece electro-acoustic band with two guitars, bass, drums, recorder and saxophone. Conceived as a 'soundtrack for a movie not yet shot', Bosgraaf and Honing develop a constantly surprising, inventive and imaginative panopticon of dark, post-rock and jazz echoes Post-rock and jazz echoes, but also lyrical moments: This is an album for the unprejudiced listener who, inspired by the music, wants to embark on an exciting journey of discovery of very personal listening experiences.
