"Mingus" is the 10th studio album by Joni Mitchell. It was created in collaboration with Charles Mingus, who was terminally ill at the time and could no longer play an instrument, but composed four new songs for the album. Joni Mitchell and Charles Mingus were accompanied by Jaco Pastorius, Wayne Shorter, Peter Erskine, Herbie Hancock, Don Alias and Emil Richards. Sadly, Mingus died before the album was completed.
