Both "Johnny The Fox" and "Jailbreak" were released in 1976 and are considered the definitive studio albums by Thin Lizzy with hits such as "The Boys Are Back In Town", "Jailbreak", "Warriors" and "Cowboy Song".
"Jailbreak" was released in March 1976 and was considered the band's breakthrough in America, where it reached number 18 in the Billboard charts and entered the top ten in the UK.
"Johnny The Fox" was recorded in the same year and was released in October 1976 to critical acclaim, reaching number 11 in the UK charts.
1976 is a new compilation box set containing the two versions of both albums, the original form and a new stereo mix by Richard Whittaker, supervised by guitarist Scott Gorham and mastered by Andy Pearce. There is also a Blu-ray with an Atmos mix of the two albums. The other discs contain unreleased mixes from the band's collection, radio sessions and an unreleased show from Cleveland.
Rounding out the package, which is housed in a 10 x 10 box, are cover notes by Mojo's Mark Blake and a hardcover booklet featuring rare photos and memorabilia as well as contributions from longtime collaborator Jim Fitzpatrick. Prihlásenie
