After their well known and successful 2010 album "Harlem River Blues" Justin Townes Earle doesn't let his fans wait long for a successor. With almost the same staff as the predecessor, "Nothing's Gonna Change ..." was recorded completely live and thus became a soulful affair that points more towards Memphis than Nashville. But here, too, Justin Townes Earl shows that he has not only grown fashionably but also musically for the title he was awarded by "GQ" magazine 2010 ("one of the 25 most stylish men in the world"). The American "Rolling Stone" at least added "Nothing's Gonna Change ..." to the list of promising albums in 2012. "His fourth studio album leads away from traditional country to Memphis soul," wrote the paper - "with a little folk and Americana for good taste." And, alluding to his famous father Steve Earl: "If every celebrity junior was so talented, we wouldn't have a problem with nepotism."
